Writing in English

Get a cup of your favorite coffee or tea, and find a pen and some paper. We are going to write in English!

Don't Forget to Practice Writing!

Many times, especially when you are starting to learn English, it can be very easy to focus on grammar, listening, and learning new vocabulary. But learning how to write in English is important, too.

Even as a beginner, practice your writing skills. Write short sentences with the new vocabulary words you learn. If you practice writing with English sentence structure, it will also help you make your sentences correct when you speak! That will give you speaking confidence.

The English Alphabet

Does your native language use the Roman alphabet? If so, then learning English letters will be easy for you. But if you use a different writing system, the first thing to do is to learn the letters of the English alphabet, the sounds they make, and how to write them. Check out the Pronunciation Section for more tips on how to pronounce the sounds that English letters make.

Come back soon for more lessons on how to write the Roman letterforms that we use in the English alphabet. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter so you can stay informed about all the new lessons and articles here at Learn English with the Bible.
